Biden NATO Summit Remarks
U.S president Joe Biden states Americans will have to deal with inflation and soaring gas prices “as long as it takes” to fight Russia. President Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine. President Biden’s comment did not yield any signs of inflation being corrected of gas prices being fixed, as he seemed to suggest it will continue as long as the war in Ukraine goes on.
Biden Blames Russia
Biden stated, “ Russia cannot defeat Ukraine, or move beyond Ukraine,” which he told reporters Thursday in Madrid as a response to the question of how long inflation and has prices will continue to grow. The U.K prime minister. Boris Johnson is facing similar criticism for the seemingly lack of solutions to the ongoing crisis. Cost of living along with goods have continued to increase since the start of Russia and Ukraine conflict, with little to zero solutions coming about for tackling the crisis on both the U.S and U.K side of issues.
With the average price in gasoline has hit a staggering $5 a gallon. The increasing price at the pump has contributed as one of the main factors of inflation, that and the millions sent to Ukraine daily, and the irresponsible stimulus which printed trillions of dollars in the United States economy. It seems these issues for the Biden administration have been the main drivers of their political headache as they have left many questions unanswered on how they will best tackle these issues.
Instead of figuring out solutions within the United States, Biden has stated he will ask businesses in the Persian gulf region to boost oil production when he enters Saudi’s Arabia on his trip to the region next month. It’s possible Biden will have to meet with the country’s de-facto leader directly to plead for assistance however Biden did not comment on shyer or not he would meet with Prince Mohammed Bin Salman in person. No Solutions So Far
Biden response and solution to inflation so far has been a “stand your ground” approach as he repeatedly tells reporters the United States is in it for the “long haul.” This is not playing well with the the approval ratings of the Biden administration as they have been at an all time low since last year.
With all of the rising issues of abortion, the overturning of Roe vs Wade, and Supreme Court headlines, American have cited that their primary concern in the United States as of the moment is inflation. As the November midterms have inched closer, the topic of inflation has been less reported on and solutions have yet to be seen while other issues such as Roe vs Wade take the stage despite inflation being the publics primary concern.
Given the state of U.S politics, it is very likely Democrats will lose control of congress, and this expectation is further possible if or when the United States enters a recession. The shifting of issues from inflation to abortion seem coincidentally convenient for the Democratic Party members as these issues play in their favor. The democrats hope to win a majority of vote during the nesting midterm elections in November with as the quarrel on abortion continues to rise.
America is Upset
The Center for Public Affairs Research poll, recently release states, 85% of adults believe the country is on the wrong track with 79% describe the U.S economy as poor. Interestingly enough, 69% of democrats agreed the conditions of the coming are not good, poll . So it seems the majority of the U.S population is upset with the current administration, with midterm elections approaching it’s no coincidence that the main issues are being substituted for abortion.
The Whitehouse has tried and tried again to no avail to solve this issue of inflation but it seems they just can’t do it, from releasing extra battles of oil from the strategic petroleum reserve, lifting the ban of E15 which President Joe Biden directed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to issue an emergency waiver and allow gasoline that uses a 15% ethanol blend to be sold this summer. That’s why your gas seems so different.
Conclusion
Even democratic law makers are showing opposition to the Biden Administration, as Biden called on congress to suspend the federal gas tax for three months. This decision by Biden as stated above was met with resistance from m democrats law makers. It seems the Biden administration is having an all out tough time getting things done, but what’s Biden response to the American people? “Hold out as long as you can.” Well thanks, that doesn’t seem to be helping.
