Hollywood wants to “Cancel” Independence Day. That’s right, it’s true, I guess there’s not enough independence in America for the elite. Katy Perry and her gang of pampered stars, Kim Kardashian, Padma Lakshmi, Bette Middler and Jessica Chastain, don’t like the fact you celebrated the USA.

This “cancel” Independence Day” movement came about due to the overturning of RoevWade. As a result, the circumstances on abortion were given to the states. But the two don’t really correlate do they?You know, abortion and Independence Day? These uneducated celebrities are taking the meaning of “Independence day” out of context. Independence Day was the creation of America, not the celebration of the rights on abortion or a landmark on human rights. Those things will always need work.

Censorship is Trending

So why are they boycotting America’s birthday then? Maybe it’s to get Xing Jinping in a good mood so they can air their latest movies and music in China, because China loves to censor American culture and democracy. The Hollywood starts and China seem to have a lot in common, seeing that they both want to “Censor” American history, literally the birthday of the United States.

The anger and sentiment on abortion is understandable, but they are taking it way out of proportion. They are likely deceiving their more naive audience, which is mostly younger children, in a result to completely confuse them. Great, it’s always nice to have the future generation of any nation learning to hate their country instead of finding cooperative and reasonable ways to correct things and bridge divides.

Tragedy Equals Opportunity

But that’s not what this protest is about. It’s about sensationalism, attention, promotion. Its a, look at me, be me, follow me, vote this way, act this way indoctrination. This cancel culture has to stop, it’s starting to become a trend in the younger generation where they are now canceling anything to rmeotley disagree with, in this case, “Independence Day.” Wrap your mind around that, canceling, “history.” That should never happen.

If you yell loud enough and long enough, people begin to pay attention to you. So that’s exactly what they tend to do, its what they’re good at, yelling and screaming. Jeez, their parents must’ve went insane, considering to amount of attention they always need from everyone at every given point in time.

Well, it’s not going to work. If they believe America is so horrible, why don’t they go to China or any other country to satisfy their human rights needs? That’s because other countries, don’t have the benefit of freedom speech and human rights, they would imprison them, or worse. We’re talking about China, Middle East and other such places who wouldnt even give these people a second thought, let alone a voice to cancel their countries culture. America has been the leader in human rights for decades, if they don’t like the democratic process that it goes through, they should say so in an educational way and create a productive discussion. But instead, they resort to extremism.

Our Opinion

Solutions come from proper discussion and from understanding both sides. An argument is never solved when two people refuse to understand or cooperate with each other. Funny enough, that’s the thing, people likes this don’t want the other side to be heard, they only want their story to be told, they want to be a victim. So what do they do? They set out the flashiest things they can find and start clanging the kitchen pans until we all shut up and get sick and tired of them. Fine, cancel “independence day,” cancel Thomas Jefferson, okay cancel George Washington! If it shuts you up we will do it!

No, not this time, its not going to work. They have the pattern of spoiled children. American wants discussion, cooperation and the democratic process to prevail. Refusing to discuss or come to a compromise so that narratives can be emotionally driven is not the sane practice of democracy. Yelling and dramatizing the situation until the other sides succumbs to madness is not democracy. Don’t let their political theatre fool you. This is not okay and it is definitely not the way to create change. Resorting to extremism when a view is not aligned with another creates divide, and frankly, its slowly ripping America apart.
